2021 Maintenance Hero Award Winners

2021 Maintenance Hero Award Winners

Each year, Contractors Inc likes to recognize maintenance staff members in the multifamily, condominium, or single-family rental home industries who are making a difference to the properties they serve. The Maintenance Hero Awards were started to honor these amazing men and women and thank them for everything they do.

Every nominee receives a gift, with the top ten nominees from each region receiving an RTIC cooler and a grand prize winner from each region receiving a $500 Home Depot gift card.

We’re proud to introduce you to this year’s heroes:

Matt Rinehart, Sealy Management

Not only is Matt very knowledgeable about apartment maintenance and HVAC, but his customer service skills are a valuable resource to his company. In addition, he routinely steps into a leadership role, where his peers respect him. During the challenging times brought on by the pandemic, Matt was a shining example of putting safety first. He is a perfect example of what you look for in a service technician: dependable, reliable, knowledgeable, and professional.

Christian Caraveo, Meritage at Steiner Ranch

Christian is no stranger to working through challenges. When he took on the role of Maintenance Supervisor at Meritage at Steiner Ranch, there were about 450 open work orders to get through. From sleepless nights taking resident calls to being drenched while the riser rooms were overflowing, his drive for work is never ending. Christian has led his team with amazing guidance, instruction, and encouragement.

Irak Lauderdale, Horizons Asset Management

Irak is an example of what every service technician should strive to be. Although he’s only been with Horizons Asset Management for about a month, he’s done an excellent job of holding down the fort. He can always be counted on to stay late or be there early when there’s work to be done.

Kenny Livingston, Legends at White Oak

Kenny is customer-centered in all that he does. In his time at Legends at White Oak, he’s taken care to ensure each resident is treated with dignity and respect. These same sentiments extend to his colleagues. He builds everyone up and selflessly gives of himself. His teamwork is part of what makes him such an amazing colleague and friend.
