Our door opened in 1999 in Memphis, Tennessee—home of the world’s most famous barbecue. Inspired by the barbecue community and culture, we began competing at the Memphis in May competition alongside our customers. Our team continued to experiment and perfect our competition barbecue sauce until a single customer appreciation event marked its completion. Customers loved the sauce so much that they were taking it home by the cupful—that’s when the Ci team knew we should start bottling it.

The secret’s always in the sauce. It represents our commitment to the perfect balance of appreciation between our people-oriented company and our beloved customers. Our company is like a barbecue: fun, friendly, and helpful. You’ll always get what you pay for, and seconds are always available.
